When you're on the bike and battling the elements, this is where the Women's DYORA RS Rain Cycling Jacket comes into its own. When the clouds burst, it's the Schloss Tex fabric that keeps you comfortable. This 3-layer fabric offers excellent waterproof protection, rated to 10,000mm. At the same time, you don't want to be overwhelmed with sweat when riding. And the outstanding breathability, rated to 27,000g/m2/24h, prevents any clamminess or discomfort from sweat build-up. Rain is kept out. Sweat can Escape. The result is perfect comfort.
Attention to the Details
When you're riding in the rain, small details can count significantly towards comfort. This is demonstrated in the back, where two 'pocket slots' allow easier access to jersey pockets, and your vital energy bars and gels, without the need to pull up your rain jacket. They also act as vents to boost breathability.
An extended rear panel adds wheel spray protection. Silicone dots at the hem also keep the fit snug and keep the elements out. A double-zipper also makes it super-simple to increase ventilation from the bottom, while maintaining protection at the chest. Oversized pull tabs also make for intuitive, glove-friendly operation.
Assos are one of the world's pioneers and specialists in producing high quality cycling clothes and accessories. They are located in a region of Switzerland that has maintained a long standing tradition in first class textile engineering. In the 1970's, Toni Maier-Moussa, founder and chairman of Assos accidently invented lycra cycling clothing, whilst trying to create the ultimate bicycle. During the wind tunnel tests of the first ever carbon-fibre bike, Toni inadvertently found that lycra downhill ski racing suits had much less drag than the woolen-knitted cycling clothes of the time.
